SalaryAn exciting opportunity exists for a fixed term full time Plumbing Inspector based in Moranbah. Reporting to the Manager Community Education and Compliance this position provides operational support to ensure the health and safety of Isaac Regional Council’s residents through quality assessment of complex plumbing designs and installations and improve compliance with the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2018 through the timely resolution of plumbing and drainage issues.
For this position we offer:
- Base salary between $89,940.83 - $95,987.25 per annum (Stream A Level 5 - 6)
- Fixed Term – 6 Month Contract
- Based in Moranbah
- Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
- Up to 13.5% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
- RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement

We are seeking an enthusiastic person who possesses:
- Experience in design and installation of on-site sewerage treatment systems;
- Experience in backflow prevention and on-site sewerage design;
- Knowledge of processes generating trade waste and the appropriate methods for its minimisation and treatment.
- Experience assessing complex plumbing designs for compliance against relevant Australian Standards, the Plumbing Code of Australia, and Queensland Plumbing and Wastewater Code requirements.
- Experience in delivering quality customer service as a technical expert who can translate complex information into simple concepts to facilitate customer understanding and manage expectations.
- Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills in a specialist technical environment.
- Highly developed written skills to produce Information Requests and Decision Notices against complex plumbing and drainage applications and installations;
