Full Job Description:
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Provide input to determine the resourcing, engineering requirements, critical components, and systems involved in supporting project management and delivery of planning and design component projects.
- Develop transport infrastructure civil design models in the strategic planning, concept, and development phases of projects.
- Apply innovative methodologies to planning and design for transport infrastructure projects and their relevant phases of corridor planning, program development, program delivery, and program finalization.
- Use professional judgment to provide advice and support in relation to design processes, ensuring projects meet technical design outcomes in areas where there is a lack of precedent.
- Ensure planning and design principles are implemented in accordance with the relevant policies, standards, guidelines, and legislation, and that quality management procedures are adhered to.
- Peer review civil designs for transport infrastructure projects.
- Provide expert support and advice, including problem resolution, to various stakeholders on the planning and design process for the successful completion of transport infrastructure projects.
- Develop effective relations with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address needs, expectations, and issues that may affect the successful delivery of projects.
- Use initiative when implementing/using relevant policies, standards, guidelines, and legislation, and ensure that quality management is consistent with the required standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum three-year, Sydney Accord accredited engineering degree such as a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) or recognized equivalence.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience relevant to the Grade PO5 level, with potential for designation at Level 1 to 4 based on experience
