Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and friendly Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day to day operation of our clinic and providing a positive experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and assist with appointment processes.
- Appointment and schedule management in our Practice Management System - Best Practice.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Processing payments using HICAPS, Medicare and re-booking patient appointments.
- Invoicing and billing – previous experience and knowledge of Medicare Item numbers, DVA and practice billing procedures highly advantageous but not required.
- Maintain patient records accurately.
- Manage office supplies and ensure clinical stock supply.
- Ensure that the reception area is clean and organized.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry as needed.
- Cleaning and preparing treatment rooms before and after procedures.
- Undertaking daily sterilisation of podiatry equipment.
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Windows, Outlook and Microsoft Word.
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanour with a commitment to patient-centred care.
Experience in medical reception is desirable but not essential. We are happy to provide training and mentorship to a candidate who is looking to build a career as an allied health receptionist.
