FUNCTION SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
Monitoring current issues, trends, legislation and other developments related to the organisation's advocacy interests.
Identifying and recommending opportunities for advocacy, government relations activities and engagement.
Designing, implementing and evaluating effective advocacy strategies to influence public policy, supporting CSPD’s engagement with key stakeholders, government bodies, and relevant organisations.
Preparing briefings, reports and submissions as required.
Compiling relevant data, research findings, and case studies to strengthen advocacy positions and policy recommendations.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Law, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in designing and executing successful advocacy strategies.
Proficiency in conducting thorough research, analysing data, and synthesising information to support policy positions.
Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods and the ability to apply them to advocacy efforts.
