Your new role
As the Policy and Communications Officer, you will collaborate closely with the General Manager for Public Affairs to drive high-quality Policy and media campaigns aimed at advancing South Australia’s building and construction industry.
This role offers strategic and operational support to the CEO and Executive team of Master Builders SA across communications, public relations/media, policy development, advocacy, lobbying, and strategic research.
Key RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
Significant experience in public relations, including media relations strategy, policy development, and report writing.
A strong customer service orientation.
Proven knowledge of relevant Federal and State legislation and regulations.
Strong political nous with solid negotiation and advocacy skills.
The ability to build enduring relationships with stakeholders.
Effective time management and attention to detail.
The capability to perform under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines.
Flexibility and adaptability to organisational change.
Experience in coaching and developing staff.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Analytical ability to identify and solve problems and mitigate risk.
Sound understanding of industrial and employee relations theory, principles, policies, and practices.
