Policy and Practice Lead
  • Full time (part time can be negotiable), permanent position| Panorama

About the Role
 
This is an exciting new role working with a variety of key stakeholders, maintaining subject matter expertise, and playing a crucial role in shaping service delivery and promoting best practice. You will research, develop, implement, review, and evaluate internal frameworks, policies, practices, procedures, and documentation in line with external compliance requirements.  
 
Other key responsibilities include:
  • Coaching, mentoring and educating stakeholders within the business to promote evidence-based, best practice in client service delivery
  • Review, update and maintain existing policies, procedures, and associated documentation, ensuring compliance with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework, NDIS Practice Standards, Practice Alerts, and other external frameworks.
  • Engage with subject matter experts internally and externally to seek input and feedback and conduct gap analyses and identify future opportunities for improvement.
  • Actively participate in the Disability Service Standards (DSS), NDIS and any other internal or external audits as required, to ensure compliance with required standards and internal procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of document integrity, accuracy and confidentiality across multiple databases and platforms, in accordance with Bedford Policy and procedure.
 
About You
 
You will have
  • Demonstrable solid understanding of the NDIS environment and governance, including knowledge and understanding of the following standards:
    • Disability Service Standards
    • NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework
    • NDIS Practice Standards
    • NDIS Code of Conduct
  • Clear understanding and knowledge of disability support and how this relates to policy, procedure, associated documentation, and best practice frameworks.
  • Ability to work autonomously across Bedford sites.
  • Adaptability within an ever-changing NDIS environment and as the Business transforms.
  • Prior experience in the disability sector in an equivalent role
  • Tertiary qualification in disability, allied health, nursing, social/public policy (desirable)
 
For this role, the following documents must be provided prior to a formal offer of employment with Bedford.
  • A National Police Clearance (no older than six months old)
  • NDIS worker screening clearance
  • Worker orientation module certificate
  • Driver’s licence
  • Evidence of right to work in Australia
  • 100 points of identification
