Your new role
As a Policy Officer, you will help inform strategic policy direction for a wide range of work areas. You will be expected to collaborate with technical, legal, and regulatory experts, as well as engage with a variety of stakeholders.
You will be responsible for researching and analysing complex information to inform the development of regulatory policy. You will be required to interpret regulations, identify policy gaps, provide advice on
Consumer regulatory matters and prepare draft policy reports, briefing papers and discussion papers.

To succeed in the role, you must be an Australian citizen. You will have effective communication skills to convey complex ideas to a wide range of audiences, while building positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Our ideal candidate will also have the skills to research, evaluate, solve, and implement complex policy issues.
You will:
- Be flexible, adaptable and self-motivated.

- Demonstrate an understanding of policy and regulatory development.
- Demonstrate experience in establishing clear plans and timeframes for project implementation.
- Have a proven ability to see projects through to completion, monitor project progress and adjust plans as
- Have the ability to prepare persuasive high level written documents that communicate in a clear, concise and articulate manner with a focus on key points and the use of appropriate and unambiguous language.
- Have the ability to proactively build and sustain positive and mutually beneficial relationships with team members and stakeholders.
