WesTrac, a leading provider in the heavy machinery solutions industry, is seeking a skilled and experienced trades person to join our dynamic team, specializing in training on Caterpillar underground machines. As a Technical Trainer you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to our technicians and customers. Your expertise in the underground mining sector, will contribute to the continuous improvement of our team's skills, ensuring the highest standards of training are delivered.
Roster: 5/2, 8 hours
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver training programs for technicians and service customers focused on Caterpillar machines specializing in the underground area.
- Create training materials including, presentations and hands-on exercises to facilitate effective learning.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and technologies in Caterpillar equipment.
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers and Caterpillar representatives to identify specific training needs and tailor programs accordingly.
- Provide on-the-job training and support to technicians, ensuring practical application of learned skills.
About You:
- Proven experience in the underground sector.
- In-depth knowledge of underground equipment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and stay updated on industry trends.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Training experience or Caterpillar equipment maintenance is a plus.
