As a Technical Trainer, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to our WesTrac technicians and our customers. The Post Trade Training Team deliver various training programs focused on Caterpillar products used across Mining, Heavy Construction, Underground and other Industries. Our programmes cover all base machine systems including; hydraulics, electrical, engines, diagnostics, electrification and technology.

With a commitment to innovation and excellence, WesTrac consistently delivers industry leading training programs to support the Caterpillar product, enable our workforce and our customers to enhance their technical expertise. We will provide the support, training and guidance to become an industry training professional.

Roster: 5/2, 8 hours - Perth Based

Location: WesTrac Institute, South Guildford.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver technical training programs from basic to advanced, focused on the Caterpillar Product
  • Create training materials including, presentations and simulators / training aids to facilitate effective learning
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and technologies in Caterpillar equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, customers and Caterpillar representatives to identify specific training needs and tailor programs accordingly.
  • Provide on-the-job training and support to technicians, ensuring practical application of learned skills.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Mechanic / Heavy Construction Mechanic
  • In-depth knowledge of equipment like; Mobile Plant / Mining / Heavy Construction / Agricultural / Marine
  • Caterpillar product systems knowledge is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and stay updated on industry trends
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Previous Training experience is advantageous
