We are seeking to appoint a Post Doctoral Associate with a strong interest in the role of extracellular vesicles in Mesothelioma and Silicosis Research (asbestos and dust related diseases). The primary project will involve specialized focus on the role of extracellular vesicles in tumour microenvironment and their therapeutic potential, using a range of techniques from biophysical, biochemical, molecular biology, to bioinformatics. The Successful candidate will also support other research and collaborations determined by the Principal Scientist and Academic and Research Director.

Selection Criteria
ESSENTIAL
- A PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, respiratory diseases, cancer research or equivalent.
- Expertise in cell biology (cell culturing), biochemistry (Western blotting) and molecular biology (qRT-PCR)
- Proven track record of publishing research and expertise in data analysis
- The applicant should possess exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to contribute to long-term research goals
- Experience in, or willingness to train research students.
BENEFICIAL/PREFERRED
- Expertise in extracellular vesicles biology.
- Experience in single-cell omic analysis, mass spectrometry and flow cytometry analysis.
- The candidate should be self-motivated, independent, with great attention to detail.

Shortlisting is used. This means that after the deadline for applications – the selected applicants will be invited for an interview. Once the recruitment process is completed a final letter of rejection is sent to the deselected applicants.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an online/in-person interview. Prior to the interview, you're required to submit a 2-page proposal on a given topic. During the interview, you'll also present a 15-minute overview of your previous research.
