About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct research in a collaborative research team. This research team aims to develop a multidisciplinary, dynamic, interactive and collaborative culture fostering future research leaders who thrive in academic excellence and are equipped with strong transferable skills.
This role will provide important training opportunities including synthesis, supramolecular chemistry techniques, materials chemistry and molecular simulations. This role will be expected to support the activities of the research team and apply for independent research fellowship or funding.
This position is part of a research project funded by the ARC Discovery Project &Creating custom microenvironments for anion complexation in water& under the supervision of Professor Philip Gale as the lead Chief Investigator.
About you
We are seeking an outstanding early career academic with experience in conducting original research or engaging in scholarly activity. You will have a track record in peer reviewed publications, as well as the ability to contribute to the university's research culture.
To be successful in applying for this role, you will also have:
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Demonstrated understanding of the subject matter within the discipline
• Provide quality research supervision, where eligible, for Higher Degree Postgraduate and Honours students
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to critically think and independently troubleshoot
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Remuneration
Base Salary Range: $89,818 to $109,393 pa (Level A)
This role also attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full time, and the appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
