The School of Medical Sciences is recognised as one of the leading centres for medical science education in the world. With over 100 years of excellence in education, we are proud to be training the next generations of clinicians, and medical scientists who will be leaders in the healthcare community. Our team of educators and researchers lead internationally competitive research from molecules to medicines, from patient to policy across a range of therapeutic areas.

Located on the Camperdown Campus at the University of Sydney, the School of Medical Sciences (SOMS) is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Neuroscience Bioinformatics to work within an international team consisting of clinicians, molecular biologists, and computational scientists to better understand the human brain. This position is an exciting opportunity to drive research to examine the fundamental functioning of the huma brain using a broad range of cutting-edge laboratory techniques and analytical approaches.

Working with Dr. Natalie Matosin at the Charles Perkins Centre, the candidate will develop and run protocols to examine neurogenesis in the adult human brain. This will include end-to-end experience with techniques to micro-dissect and comprehensively sequence cellular populations as well as spatially resolve these cellular phenotypes.
