About the opportunity
The Faculty of Engineering is welcoming applications for aPostdoctoral Research Fellow – Blockchain. The school is home to a distinguished blockchain research team, featuring experts such as Assoc. Professor Jiangshan Yu, Assoc. Professor Vincent Gramoli, Dr. Qiang Tang, Dr. Sri AravindaKrishnan Thyagarajan, and Dr. Liyi Zhou.
Working closely with Assoc. Professor Jiangshan Yu and his team, the successful candidate will develop algorithms, protocols, and systems for secure and scalable blockchains. The candidate will be expected to conduct independent, quality research and contribute to the collegial culture of the team. They will be given opportunities to attend and present their work at leading conference venues, as well as to mentor HDR and Honours students.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
collaborate closely with A/Prof. Yu and his HDR students to advance research objectives, developing algorithms, protocols, and systems for secure and scalable blockchains and their applications
actively participate in and contribute to our research group's activities, including seminars, reading groups, and collaborative projects
conduct high-quality independent research that complements and enhances our current projects in blockchain and fault-tolerant systems.

About you

a PhD in Computer Science or a related field (candidates nearing completion of their PhD may also be considered)
a proven track record of publishing in top-tier conferences, specifically in areas such as blockchain, fault tolerance, trusted computing, distributed database/system, cryptography, and security and privacy
prior research experience in blockchain technologies, fault-tolerant systems, or trusted computing
excellent communication and writing skills.
