Form of workWe require enthusiastic Maintenance Mechanic for our new Cage Free egg farm at Teesdale, Victoria 3328 and our Poultry farms at Lethbridge and Winchelsea.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
This is a full hands on position.
• Providing effective and efficient preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances
• Installation of new equipment and machines.
• Operate various on site machinery.
• Assist with other Poultry farm General duties as required.
Your Requirements:
• Must reside in Australia and have relevant working visa. Overseas applicants not accepted. No Visa sponsorship provided.
• Have a fitter and turner equivalent trade qualification and post-trade experience of at least 2 years, ideally in Poultry or other Intensive farming.
• Having Electrcal Maintenance qualifications and experience would be an advantage.
• Understand work planning and scheduling procedures
• Be physically fit and healthy
• Be honest and reliable
• Be able to work without supervision.
• Have a strong work ethic.
• Have driver's licence and access to own reliable transportation (essential).
• Be available for flexible working hours, and able to work weekends and public holidays when required.
• Having other licences such as truck, forklift, etc. would be an advantage.
• Due to biosecurity, candidates are not permitted to have any form of poultry, birds and/or pigs at home or be in contact with.
• This position will provide a pathway to further promotion.
• Salary Package Negotiable, depending on Qualifications and Experience.
