Job Title: Poultry Farmer or Farm Manager
Job Summary:
As Poultry Farmeror Farm Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage and optimize all aspects of Poultry Farming operations on breeding and rearing farms, hatcheries, or growing farms. These roles involve overseeing breeding and raising livestock, coordinating farming activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and contributing to the overall success of the Poultry Farming business.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Livestock Breeding and Rearing:
· Manage the breeding and rearing of poultry for optimal production.
· Ensure adherence to breeding standards and protocols.
2. Farming Operations Coordination:
· Coordinate and oversee all farming activities to achieve business objectives.
· Organize work teams, schedule rosters, and provide training to staff.
3. Health and Nutrition Management:
· Monitor and maintain the health and condition of poultry.
· Provide appropriate food to maintain nutritional levels.
4. Optimizing Production:
· Move livestock strategically to optimize feeding opportunities.
· Conduct farming operations.
5. Infrastructure and Equipment Maintenance:
· Direct and oversee general farming activities, including maintaining cages, and equipment.
· Ensure proper maintenance of fences, equipment, and water supply systems.
6. Sales and Logistics:
· Organize the sale, purchase, and transportation of livestock and produce.
· Maintain and evaluate records of farming activities, monitor market activity, and plan production accordingly.
7. Financial Management:
· Manage business capital, including budgeting, taxation, debt, and loan management.
· Contribute to financial planning and reporting.
8. Personnel Management:
· Select, train, and supervise staff and contractors.
· Conduct employee performance reviews and address staffing needs.
Qualifications:
- Suitable certification or relevant experience.
Experience:
- At least two years’ experience in a similar environment.
- Proven experience in Poultry Farming and management.
· Extensive knowledge of Poultry Farming practices
