Powdercoat Applicator

ACT Powder Coating Services is seeking an enthusiastic Powder Coat Applicator to join the team at their factory in Queanbeyan. 

The role is varied and involves all aspects of our automatic and manual production lines, with the opportunity to up-skill once the basics are mastered. Full training will be provided and the tasks include:

• Pre-treatment processing of various metals
• Manual powder coat application
• Operation of automatic powder coating system
• Maintenance of powder coating equipment
• Loading and unloading production lines including hanging racks above head height
• Packing and wrapping finished products
• Loading and unloading customer orders from trucks and trolleys
• Housekeeping - cleaning, upkeep and maintenance
• Flexibility to undertake other tasks as required to support the broader team

Qualifications and Experience

Experience in powder coating, metal finishing, manufacturing or the steel industry is beneficial, but not necessary. We are prepared to train an energetic person, ready to learn!

We pre-treat and powder coat raw material such as aluminium and steel to meet our varied customers' requirements. We handle a high volume of different materials and products to powder coat including aluminium extruded window frames and doors, awnings, patio components, posts and beams, steel balustrades, handrails, vehicle ute trays and structural steel.

We are the only local provider with a warranty approved pre-treatment system to prepare aluminium to Australian Standards for the construction industry. Our steel preparation also meets the same stringent standards set as a warranty approved applicator.
