This opportunity is in a social policy line agency. The role(s) is in a Division focused on using data to drive evidence-based workforce reforms in Australia.
This group specialises in gathering and analysing information to support informed decision-making. The team’s goal is to foster a data-centric environment, ensuring that workforce insights are leveraged to their fullest potential.
The Opportunity- Learn and develop as you work alongside other Power BI Specialists

In this role you will develop and deliver new capability in Power BI to support the development of new reporting capabilities for workforce data.
Previously the area had some of the dashboards in Tableau but are now going exclusively with Power BI.
The dashboards will be used by internal stakeholders – Policy and Program area (majority), external stakeholders (limited) and some publications.
The Ideal PersonThis team needs someone like who can speak to the business areas and understand what they need from a dashboard and then build it.
Ie “You’ve asked for ABC but does that give you the data you need to answer your question? Would XYZ provide you the figures you need answer your question(s)?”
This role is not about building the most technical dashboards but designing and building dashboards that provide information business areas need to make informed decisions.
Salary / RateThe competitive rate for this role will likely sit between $100/hr – $140/hr + Super
This role is being offered as a 12 month full-time labour hire contract with a 12 month extension option
