The Power Generation Specialist, based in Adelaide and part of the Asset Performance team within the Innovation and Business Improvement business unit, is responsible for ensuring the effective and compliant provision of planned and corrective/reactive maintenance services for all Power Generation and related assets, including treatment facilities and networks.
Role Purpose:
- Adelaide-based Power Generation Specialist
- Member of the Asset Performance team in the Innovation and Business Improvement unit
- Focus on ensuring efficient and compliant delivery of planned maintenance services
- Responsible for providing corrective/reactive maintenance for Power Generation and ancillary assets
- Scope includes treatment facilities and networks
Key Responsibilities:
Direct:
- Maintain the assets within the requirements and make necessary adjustments in conjunction with the Lead Power Generation Specialist.
- Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of Power Generation facilities.
- Ensure power and heat production meet both internal wastewater treatment and reuse plants needs and external power supply (commercial availability) targets.
- Provide assistance to the Lead Power Generation Specialist in the planning, execution and delivery of maintenance / overhaul / repair works of the Plant(s).
- Ensure that all Power Generation and ancillary assets are maintained to a standard that provides a safe and reliable workplace for staff, subcontractors and visitors.
- Ensure that all maintenance is carried out in a manner that supports an environmentally sound mode of operation of all Power Generation.
Client Relations:
- Providing insights on technical issues to relevant teams.
- Managing interface and negotiations with capital works organizations.
- Ensuring project deliverables are met while maintaining maintenance service integrity.
Essential Requirements:
- Competency levels are as defined under the trades Classification Structure referenced to the Modern Award and to the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF).
- Experience in the Power Generation industry or similar environment
- Experience in the water industry or similar environment.
- Experience in the use of Industrial Control Systems
- Current unrestricted driver's licence
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Trade qualification in Mechanical and/or Electrical.
- Experience in operating and maintaining Power Generation facilities.
Travel Required:
- Occasional local and domestic travel.
