As a result of our growing business, we currently have a Power Tool Service Technician (Repairer) position available to join our company in Blackburn VIC 3130.
We are looking for technicians with an electrical or mechanical background who can work in a hands on fast paced environment. You will repair brands including – Makita, Milwaukee, Bosch, De Walt, Hitachi, Yamaha, and Chicago, amongst others, liaising with internal and external customers.
- Fortnightly Pay
- Training provided to the successful applicant
- Monday - Friday (5 day per week)
- Full time permanent position
- Experience in a similar position preferred
- Demonstrated experience in Compressor repairs
- Petrol motor repair experience is highly regarded
- Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
- Self motivated
- Ability to work to timelines and meet deadlines
- Ability to adapt to the situation at hand
- Ability to liaise with internal and external customers
- Communicating with suppliers and prepare paperwork
- Ability to maintain stock of parts
- Diagnose and make repairs on various cordless, electric and hydraulic Power Tools and equipment
- Disassemble tools and use testing devices to identify problems
- Use technical manuals to determine required replacement parts and assembles tool based on manufacturer's guidelines
- Responsible for repairing defective mechanical parts and rewiring electrical systems, including soldering or coating wires for proper installation
- Competent computer skills required
