An exciting position has emerged for an enthusiastic Product Marketing Manager to join HiKOKI Power Tools Australia.

We seek a team orientated Product Marketing Manager to transform market opportunities into impactful realities. 

Position Overview:

As a Product Marketing Manager specializing in the power tools industry, you will be responsible for driving the success of our power tools product line from conception through to market launch and beyond. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including, sales, logistics and customer support to develop and execute product strategies that meet the needs of our target market while achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy Development: Define and execute the product roadmap in alignment with company goals, market trends, and customer needs. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to end-of-life, including product planning, development, launch, and ongoing support. Work closely with global team to prioritize features, establish timelines, and ensure successful product delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, Logistic, Finance and customer support teams to define product requirements, establish go-to-market strategies, and drive product adoption and success in the market.
  • Digital Product Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to promote our power tools products effectively across various online channels, including social media, email marketing, content marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising
  • Market Analysis and Insights: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify emerging opportunities and threats. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions about product features, pricing, and positioning.
  • Product Positioning and Messaging: Develop compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates our power tools from competitors and resonates with target customers. Create sales enablement materials, marketing collateral, and product documentation to support product launches and ongoing marketing efforts.
  • Product Performance Analysis: Track and analyse key performance metrics such as sales, revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction to assess the success of our power tools products. Use insights gained to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Customer Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the customer within the organization, advocating for their needs and ensuring that product decisions are aligned with customer expectations and preferences.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that our power tools products comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in product management within the power tools industry or related field.
  • Strong understanding of power tools technologies, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and product management tools is a plus.
