The Geelong Anaesthetic Group is a specialist medical practice comprising of 30 anaesthetists. We strive to provide the very best clinical services to patients. This commitment is supported by the practice management and administration team to ensure the smooth and professional operation and excellent customer service to all our stakeholders.
About the role
The Practice Manager is responsible for the overall operation and development the growing practice. This includes the management of a small team, finance, assets, environment, OHS and strategic planning of the business.
The Practice Manager has business oversight while working closely with the directors on the vision and direction for future growth and success.
There is a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders including practitioners, staff, surgeons, patients, hospital, health funds and suppliers.
The Practice Manager also develops and monitors the annual budget and processes accounts payable, receivable and payroll. They attend and present the key progress of the practice at the quarterly directors meeting.
There is leadership, coaching, mentoring and development responsibility of a small team of 8 to ensure the success of the practice.
Essential criteria
- At least 3 years' current experience in a practice management or leadership role.
- Proven organisational and leadership capabilities within a small business, with professional health care practice experience looked upon favourably.
- A passion for small business and people management, including financial and HR skills and experience.
