As a Practice Manager at our client's holistic health and wellness outpatient clinic, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals on their journey to better health and well-being. Specialising in the treatment of eating, weight, and body image concerns, this clinic is dedicated to providing compassionate, holistic care.
Role Overview: As the Practice Manager, you will be the backbone of the clinic, overseeing administrative functions, coordinating patient care, and supporting the dedicated team of healthcare professionals. This is a non-clinical role that requires someone who wants to use their skills to make an impact and grow a clinic that sees real life change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the clinic independently
- Coordinate patient appointments and manage the clinic schedule
- Handle billing, insurance claims, and financial transactions (knowledge of Medicare and Xero is a plus)
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality
- Implement and monitor office policies and procedures
- Support marketing and community outreach efforts
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment
- Set performance-based targets and incentives for the team
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Practice Manager or in a similar administrative role
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proactive approach
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in medical billing and coding, and comfortable with practice software would be a plus (Nookal, Microsoft, Notion)
- Ability to work autonomously and make independent decisions
- Emotionally mature and intelligent, capable of managing conflict
- Willingness to learn and grow with the role
