The Queensland Institute of Dermatology are looking for a Practice Manager to join our management team.
This is a 12-month contract for maternity leave cover. Our candidate will ideally be available to commence no later than August 2024.

As a teaching institute, QIDerm provides education in medical dermatology and contributes to the development of future dermatologists in association with the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
Our medical team of 14 Dermatologist, 4 Registrars, 3 Clinical Assistants and 4 Nurses provide medical and surgical dermatology services to private, DVA and ADF patients.

About the role:
We are looking for a part-time 3 day a week Practice Manager (12-month contract) to join our busy West End Dermatology clinic. We are looking for you to bring structure, business improvements, and business growth into our practice.
As a not-for-profit organisation you also have the benefit of receiving up to $15,900 of your income tax free.
In this role you work with the CEO and Reception Coordinator to manage and support our employees and Health Care Professionals. You will be responsible for dealing with the day-to-day operational requirements of running a specialist practice.
Tasks and responsibilities include:
Manage the reception team workflow, lead and support them to manage patient appointments, greet clients, take rebookings and payments
- Appointment scheduling
- Billing procedures
- Debt Collections
- Maintenance and security
- Privacy and quality controls of patient files and notes
- Engagement and management of third parties
- Support Management team with reporting and ad hoc tasks
- Create and support a harmonious, cheerful and engaging practice environment
About you:
- Prior experience in medical practice management
- Demonstrated people management skills
- Experience with recruitment, staff training and development
- Thorough understanding of financial management of a medical business, including Medicare rebates
- Experience with Genie (advantageous)
