The Role:
The Practice Manager is envisaged to demonstrate leadership to staff and advocate a change management approach to positively provide a valuable customer service experience for the patients. With a strategic directive to identify and implement initiatives which will expand upon the business operations and ethos of the Practice.
Working with the Principal Medical Officer, Directors and Management staff you will be well supported with establishing processes and implementing standards in order to provide optimum patient experience. Championing through Leadership and Management it is a priority for the following key responsibilities to be undertake:
- Practice the values set by the surgery and enhance its culture
- Drive the accreditation process, ensuring all standards are maintained and consistent with RACGP accreditation standards as applicable to the service
- Improve client/patient outcomes;identify areas of improvement including operational efficiencies and drive change
- Drive business growth; ensure ongoing financial control and profitability growth
- Lead a team of reception and nursing staff, providing rostering, direction, recruitment and support
- Provide professional and competent support to practitioners and allied health professionals, including management of rostering GP’s, appointment book, and billings
- Manage Practice billings, accounts receivables and accounts payable
- Preparing and presenting regular reports as required
About You:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the health industry or a medical practice
- Proven leadership and employee management skills.Familiarity with Medical Director software (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, email)
- High integrity and ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
