Practice Nurse

We are a well-established and accredited General Practice in Craigmore SA. We have 10 General Practitioners and believe in working collaboratively with our clinical and administrative teams to strive for excellence as we provide progressive health care services to our local community.

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and friendly Practice Nurse (RN) or (EEN) to work in our well-equipped treatment room who is experienced in chronic disease management.

Essential Criteria:

• Current registration with APHRA
• Previous General Practice nursing experience
• Flexibility and commitment to assist with holiday/leave cover
• An energetic, enthusiastic, friendly "can do" personality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience with Best Practice software
• Chronic disease management experience
• Duties include but are not limited to:
• Triage and patient assessment;
• Clinical patient care incl. wound care, immunisation and assistance with minor surgical procedures;
• Infection control; consumables ordering and stocking
• Cold chain management
• Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Best Practice software
• Demonstrated patient focused approach in service provision
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
