AddressHampstead Health Family Practice is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our existing team of nurses in the treatment room. This is a permanent part-time position offering up to 20 hours per week. The shifts to be covered are on weekdays however may also include after-hours and weekends.
Previous general practice experience is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided. Immediate start if possible.
The Position
The role will include:
- Child, adult and travel immunisations
- ECGs
- Spirometry
- Acute and chronic wound care
- Assisting in minor procedures
- Ear irrigation
- Injections
- Blood collection
- Intravenous iron infusions
- Triage and acute emergency care
- Sterilisation
- Recall and reminder system management
Essential Criteria
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with Best Practice Software
- Completion of an approved immunisation course.
