We are seeking a Practice Nurse (Registered Nurse) to add to our beautiful team of staff. Full-Time/Part-Time available.
Selection Criteria
- Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse within a GP setting
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Satisfactory police check relevant to requirements of role
- Working with Children’s Check
- Hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Ability to provide effective customer service in a professional manner
- Possess superior professional, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

The Role
Tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Chronic Disease Management
- Health Assessments
- Immunisations
- Wound care
- Triage management
- Treatment room assistance as required
- Patient education, support and building links to the community
- Stock maintenance and ordering
- Immunisation of children and adults
- Managing recalls and reviews including follow ups
- Preventative screening care screening for patients and reminders
- Diagnostic services – ECG, urinalysis & Spirometry
- Phlebotomy
- Vaccine cold chain management and ordering
- Clinical and monthly expiry checklists
- In-charge of Quality improvement and Promoting preventative care program
- In- charge of infection control
- Triage, emergency care, assisting doctors with procedures
- Assisting receptionists as needed
- Upkeeping Accreditation standards and policies.
- Assisting Admin/reception and answering phones as required
Required Knowledge and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
- Current AHPRA Registration (Must Have)
- Must be a current resident in Australia.
- Experience in General Practice is not essential but beneficial
- Experience in Chronic Disease Management and Health Assessments is an advantage
- The ability to perform all general Practice Nurse duties, such as immunisations, procedure assistance, wound dressing, stock ordering, results recall etc
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care to people with complex needs or persons that come from a range of backgrounds and age demographics
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, with the skills to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Ability to manage within a workplace setting with fluctuating levels of demand.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to responds to patients' needs in a friendly manner
- A team focus and flexible approach to work
- The ability to manage reminder and recall systems effectively
- Experience with Best Practice (an advantage)
Level of pay depends on experience.
