Practice Nurse

Platinum Health Group is seeking an experienced Practice Nurses (RN or EEN) to work at our Village Medical Centre, Highfields initially two days per week (Thursday and Friday) with a view to additional days.

The successful candidate will join our dynamic and supportive clinical team and will contribute to our strong focus on providing safe, competent, and contemporary clinical care.

Essential Criteria:

• Current APHRA registration
• Minimum 2 year’s post registration experience
• An energetic, enthusiastic, friendly "can do" personality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of working with patients to achieve social, emotional, and physical well-being.
• Immunisation experience
• Maintain continuous professional development.

In this rewarding role, you will be able to provide quality care to a diverse mix of patients, through:

• Performing clinical duties within required level of clinical competency, according to best available evidence
• Applying nursing assessment skills and practice in a safe and professional manner that reflects practice standards and guidelines and RACGP guidelines.
• Health promotion and chronic disease management
• Assisting GPs with procedures as required
• Infection prevention and control
• Health screening/assessments
• Monitoring and maintaining cold chain compliance as per national and state guidelines.
• Participating in accreditation process and development of policy and procedures and ongoing continuous quality improvement.

Role responsibilities

• Work with other members of the clinical team to deliver patient care.
• Manage clinical data.
• Liaise with Allied Health, Community Care Services, and specialist practices.
• Facilitate effective communication between patients and health care providers.
• Maintain confidentiality of information
