AddressCQ Medicentre are seeking a warm and friendly Practice Nurse with a strong interest in primary health care who will love caring for our patients. Our Practices provide a full range of General Practice services in well-equipped facilities. This opportunity requires flexibility to work across two busy medical practices, both situated in Rockhampton.
We are looking for a part-time and casual Registered or Enrolled Nurses who will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff. You will work closely with other team members to coordinate care, share knowledge, and optimise patient outcomes.
We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse who can provide the following tasks within their scope of practice:
Tasks and responsibilities
- Patient triage and prioritisation of emergency situations
- Administering vaccines
- Post vaccination observations and monitoring
- Health Assessments & Chronic Disease Management
- Assisting GPs with minor procedures
- Managing a treatment room including wound care, dressings, and removal of sutures
- Coordination, management, and maintenance of patient clinical data including recalls
- Health education to support patients with achievement of their goals

Essentials qualification and experience
- AHPRA Registration
- Demonstrate outstanding work ethic, organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
Highly Regarded
- Previous experience in General Practice
- Experience in spirometry, audiometry, ECG
- Experience in developing Health Assessment and CDM Plans
- Experience with childhood immunisations
- Experience using Best Practice Software
