About the Clinic
Strathalbyn Family Medical Centre has proudly served the local community with high-quality general practice services for over 16 years. The clinic is based in High Street Strathalbyn and is a fast-paced, dynamic team-driven work environment.
We are seeking a registered nurse who has the ability to work well as part of a team as well as the confidence to work independently when required. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, professional, and well organised. A sound background in inpatient care is essential to support our patients, doctors, and team. The successful candidate will have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and demonstrate a can-do attitude, be self-motivated, enthusiastic, show initiative, and strive for high standards.
We are seeking individuals who are flexible for regular work with the ability to flex up to cover leave when required. In return, the successful candidate will enjoy a great team environment and be supported with regular educational opportunities through our nurse CPD program.
About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a caring nature, high level communication skills and attention to detail. Casual or Part time position are available.
The Practice Nurse will:
- Be experienced in the delivery of GP Management Plans, Team Care Arrangements, Health Assessments, CVC program, ECGs, Spirometry, urine testing, diabetes cycle of care, Asthma Management Plan, Comprehensive Medical Assessments
- Participate in Quality Improvement Activities
- Provide culturally appropriate assessments, therapeutic and education services for clients with chronic disease as required
- Ensure that clients receive education on the use of therapies and treatments prescribed and feedback on the outcomes of therapy and treatment
- Adhere to relevant professional Code of Ethics guidelines
- A willingness to implement and adapt to change when required to benefit patients, staff, and the wider group
About You
- Current APHRA registration as Registered Nurse is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer literacy
