The Patient Service Centre - Pre-admission Clinic (PAC)
PAC falls under Patient Service Centre and sits within the Surgical Services Program of Alfred Health. This program delivers the majority of surgical services across all Alfred Health sites. Surgical Services consists of sixteen surgical units, anaesthesia and perioperative medicine, operating suite service, two elective surgical inpatient wards, a medical day unit, day of surgery admissions, day surgery and endoscopy service.
The PAC manages Pre-surgical assessments from anaesthetics, surgical units, nursing and Allied Health for patients close to their surgery date.
POSITION
As a Clinical Nurse your practice will lead to excellence in patient care. You understand the importance of establishing a relationship between the patient and yourself in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for your patients. You demonstrate the core nursing values of patient centred care, trust and respect in every interaction with patients, carers and colleagues. As the preadmission clinic nurse, you are accountable for supporting and assisting the Perioperative Coordinator to ensure patients are optimally prepared and educated for their hospital episode.

- Experience in acute medical/surgical nursing (Desirable)
