We’re looking for a Pre-Works Coordinator to start mid May, based out of our Melbourne, CBD Office.About the RoleWe’re excited to have been awarded the Metropolitan Victorian Road Maintenance Contract – South Central Region.Starting in July this year, we’ll be working across Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs and right down the Mornington Peninsula, delivering routine maintenance, emergency response and defect rectification works, as well as network refurbishment and upgrade projects, under a major long-term contract with the Victorian Government.Our mission is to deliver safer and more reliable journeys for Victorian road users, keep communities better connected, and create a more sustainable road network. - Preparing and optimising daily, weekly and fortnightly works schedules in line with Section 750 PB requirements and approved maintenance programs, using the Intelligent Scheduling Assistant tool in IRIS (Service Stream’s Intelligent Road Information System)
- Creating all work packs, incorporating work instructions, HSE risk assessments/SWMS, traffic management and access requirements, location, scope and other information prior to releasing work packs to schedule
- Assigning labour, plant and materials requirements to each job and dispatching work packs to qualified and equipped internal crews and delivery partners (subcontractors)
- Identifying jobs requiring additional input or scoping onsite to allow job planning and liaising with Inspectors / Delivery crews to gather missing information
- Detailed knowledge of work methodologies for road maintenance operations, including safety, traffic management, access, permit and licensing requirements
- Exceptional time-management skills and attention to detail in document control and data management
- Sound understanding of asset management principles, underpinned by experience using work management information systems, GIS-based systems, planning and scheduling tools, and Office 365 applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, evidenced by productive working relationships with colleagues and delivery partners
