ABOUT AEMG Academic Division
The Academic Division is responsible for delivery of AEMG academic programs and the oversight and management of educational programs delivered by partner universities. These include Teaching Visit delivery by partners, English language courses delivered as part of degree programs in China, the DEP English language test, Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral Qualifying Programs and academic subjects delivered on behalf of global university partners and International Credit Courses delivered in Chinese Universities.
ABOUT the position
The Regional Academic Coordinator is responsible for the management and provision of AEMG and AEMG managed educational programs for an assigned region in China. These programs include CAP programs, Qualifying Programs and other discipline courses required by partner universities in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates with other coordinators and the Associate Dean of Education to oversee academic operations in the region.
- Responsibilities include managing CAP and QP programs, ensuring timely scheduling and delivery of courses, and preparing performance reports.
- Coordinate teaching assignments, conduct quality assurance activities, and evaluate program outcomes to align with institutional goals and industry standards.
- Participating in faculty recruitment, supervision, and professional development to maintain teaching quality.
- Teach on AEMG delivered programs in hybrid mode including face-to-face delivery on Chinese University campuses as required.
- Manage the academic division budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and analyze academic data for improvement.
Required Capabilities:
- PhD in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in higher education
- Management experience in a higher education context
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Comprehensive understanding of the higher education landscape in Australia and internationally
- Knowledge of academic program development, curriculum design and accreditation processes
The role is primarily based in Melbourne, some national and overseas travel will be required.
