About the role
We're looking for team members to join our us as Precast Operators in our precast facility. You'll have some experience in construction or similar industry and be interested in an opportunity to learn and grow on the job.
There's also opportunity to come on board as a more senior operator - if you're trade qualified carpenter, cabinet-maker/builder, concreter, roofer or experienced steel fixer, or have a natural flair for detailed work such as carpentry, formwork or similar, we'd also love to hear from you.
We're a growing business with big plans for the future - we'll show you the ropes and give you opportunity to grow with us.
Key Responsibilities
As an Precast Operator, some of the things you’ll do will include:
• Interpreting shop drawings
• Marking out panels as per shop drawings
• Preparing timbers and foam to place inside panels
• Installing formwork on tables prior to concrete pours
• Preparing and installing reinforcement for each precast panel
• Pouring concrete / managing the concrete pour
• Finishing the concrete
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the building industry
• Extensive experience in interpreting shop drawings
• A natural flair for detailed work such as carpentry, formwork or similar
• Exceptional attention to detail and a quality focus, always seeking to deliver your best work
• A current driver’s licence
You’ll also be:
• A team player with strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
• Someone who takes a safety-first approach in everything you do
• Someone who identifies and embraces opportunities for improvement
• Someone who aspires to lead a small team - you won't do this on day one, but over time this is something you'll grow into
