PRECISION FITTER - MACHINE BUILD/ASSEMBLY

RATE $85 K + SUPER + BONUS

Our client is Australia's most successful machine tool maker, and a global tier 1 supplier of computer numerical control (CNC) tools and cutter grinders to meet large-scale manufacturing and entry-level production requirements. Today our client is a thriving business with over 1,000 employees and a world-leading CNC grinding machines, motion controls and manufacturing solutions manufacturer.
YOUR ROLE
Support the Production and maintenance team in assembling Machine Tool to ensure quality and functionality within the required timeframes to meet customer requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Applies engineering principles to the design and specification of the spindle builds.
- Applies analytical skills in fault finding, decision making related to spindle build and resolving of technical matters
- Applies production processes within the scope of responsibility and can perform the work activities, reliably, consistently, and repeatably.
- Understands quality and can perform the activities to the required standards
- Meets production deadlines set for the spindle room build
- Completes all documentation as part of the duties
- Applies metrology to ensure the high precision tolerances are met at all times
- Supports other operators in the identification and rectification of faults
- Contributes to the reviewing, writing and implementation of standard work instructions

REQUIREMENTS
To excel in this role, you should have:
- At least 4 years' experience in a similar role preferably related to Maintenance / Mechanical Fitter.
- Trade Qualification or equivalent
- Proven experience in Precision Assembly
- High level of mechanical aptitude with CNC machines
- Ability to fault-find CNC machines and equipment.
- Ability to develop Preventative Maintenance plans.
- Innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
