We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated primary school teacher to join our wonderful school community.
This is a fixed term, full time position within a collaborative team of educators working in our vibrant and busy primary school.
To be successful in this role, you will be required to:
- Prepare and deliver effective lessons in accordance with the Australian Curriculum requirements
- Design lessons in a way that engages Prep students and provides access to the curriculum for a range of learners' abilities
- Plan collaboratively with our team of educators Support the Catholic ethos of our school and teach Religion lessons.
About the role - As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, you will:
- Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is learner-centred, safe, supportive, co-operative and aligned with relevant curriculum, policies and practices
- Collaborate with your peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy
- Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
- Work with the school leadership team and colleagues to contribute to the professional life of the school
- Proactively engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
- Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

- An ability to work in partnership with colleagues, students and parents/carers
- Attend in detail to innovative and creative practices suitable to Early Years learning and teaching pedagogies

- Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum

If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.
Yes, for primary and Religious Education teachers. Regarding a pathway to become Catholic, some employees opt to undertake the (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). We support all teachers with Accreditation to Teach after you start with us.
