The Jobs Victoria New Energy Program is a Priority Workforce Project funded to secure jobs for people who need extra support to find jobs in this growing sector. These are highly flexible and tailored jobs, and we are committed to support the varied needs of all individuals.
To participate in the Jobs Victoria New Energy Project, you must be long term unemployed, or underemployed and identify with one or more of the following communities:
- People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who face additional barriers to employment.
- Women aged 18 years and older
- Young people under 25 years.
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
- People living with disability.
- People seeking asylum and refugees.
- Multi-cultural communities, including newly arrived migrants from non-English speaking backgrounds.
- Veterans.
- Single parents.
Pressbrake Setter/Operator
- To be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- To be able to use and operate measuring equipment such as vernier calipers and tape measures.
- To be able to set tooling and machine parameters in a machine similar to Amada Promecam/Delem controller NC style brakepress equipment (Refer photo below)
- To be able to operate the brakepress for production.
- To wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by company policy, known safety requirements or signage in work area.
- To ensure work practices are safe and appropriate preventative actions are taken to reduce the risk of an accident.
- To comply with established company policies, procedures, and requirements.
- To ensure tasks performed are to established criteria and quality requirements.
- To be an active part of the work team.
- . To notify the Production Supervisor or an appropriate authority of known OH&S or quality problems that may affect the safety in the workplace or product quality.
- . To perform house-keeping duties in the workplace to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- If in doubt on how to perform a task or a duty, ask the Production Supervisor or an appropriate authority for guidance.
- Do not perform tasks or operate machinery that you have not been trained or been given guidance in how to perform or operate it by an appropriate authority.
