Dendeke is seeking a Casual, Part Time chef/cook to join us at our Coburg location.

Dendeke is Japanese restaurant in Preston, Since opening in 2016 we have received immense local support and are now needing to expand our team to meet our growing customer need. We strive to deliver excellent service and customer experience, and we offer products that are of the highest quality. Our food menu is grounded in the dishes that are traditional Japanese cuisine. We are seeking a Part Time cook or chef who is motivated by creating beautiful food.

The ideal candidate will be able to work the pass confidently, assist with prep work, order and maintain stock, clean and restock, and innovate new menu items. We are currently open Tuesdays - Sunday dinner. Shifts run from between 1pm - 11pm depends roster, max 8 hours, however start and finish times may vary.

Initially we need 2-3 shifts per week, with the possibility of more hours, including weekends shift, if the fit is right. Our chef/cook is responsible for:

 • Working the Deep fryer section, Grill section and dishwasher area

 • Preparing fresh vegetables, deep frying items, pan frying items and Grilling items.

 *Preparing fresh produce, dressings and sauces as required

 • Follow food and safety protocols and company specifications

 • Clean and clear dishes and equipment, and maintain a clean kitchen

The candidate must meet below requirements to be considered:

 • Have a minimum of 1 year experienced in a similar role

 • Great attention to detail and reliable
