Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and mechanically adept Preventative Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and upkeep of our equipment, including sandblasting machines and various fabrication tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel fabrication, welding, and mechanical maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Preventative Maintenance on all equipment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
- Conduct steel fabrication and welding tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Maintain and repair sandblasting equipment, including stripping, repairing, and reassembling components.
- Identify and address safety and structural issues, particularly with overhead railings and other critical systems.
- Design and create hanging jigs and other necessary equipment to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, continuously improving processes and setups.
- Perform running repairs and troubleshooting as needed to minimize downtime.
- Engage in various duties, including cleaning and repainting equipment, to maintain a pristine work environment.
- Collaborate with the team to support ongoing operations and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in steel fabrication and welding.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
- Experience with fitting and turning is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and repair sandblasting equipment.
- Keen attention to detail, particularly in identifying safety and structural issues.
- Innovative and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop and follow maintenance schedules, as well as set up new systems from scratch.
- Hands-on approach and willingness to engage in various tasks, including cleaning and equipment repainting.
