The newly formed Pricing function is part of the Wealth and Personal Banking Product team. The function will support the Lending and Deposit Product teams with operational, analytical, and strategic pricing initiatives.
The Pricing Analyst role will report to Pricing Lead and will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of a centralized pricing function for the HSBC Bank's suite of products and executing pricing strategies that optimise volume and margin trade-offs.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Use discretionary pricing framework for the Bank's Lending and Deposit products to action pricing requests from the Distribution Network
- Collate data, create reporting and visualisations to improve margin performance through uplifting salesforce and operational effectiveness
- Build pricing models that enable visibility of customer elasticity, accurately predict product substitution, and support margin optimisation initiatives
- Assist and support Senior Pricing Managers to proactively identify areas of process and capability improvements
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in a Finance and/or business-related field and relevant experience in pricing, margin trade-offs and pricing models.
- Strong understanding of drivers and levers of the lending and deposits portfolio.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and able to analyse and interpretate data.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve business goals.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
