About you

The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, and a willingness to work in varying conditions and extended hours during peak seasons. They will be able to collaborate effectively with other team members such as our Farm Operations Manager and Field Officers, to ensure the smooth operation of their role in a timely manner. 

Duties

• Providing advice on identifying pests and diseases, along with details on rules for grading, packaging, and loading products
• Ensuring hygiene and food safety standards are maintained during storage, processing, packaging, and transportation.
• Inspecting plants and agricultural goods for quality issues, offering advice to producers
• Monitoring and supervising quality procedures at farms and food processing facilities to ensure compliance with required standards.
• Providing Agronomic guidance to farmers on disease control and raising awareness among producers and the public about health impacts of diseases and contaminants
• Examining various vegetables during processing to ensure ingredients meet government quality and grading standards.
• Inspecting product samples to evaluate their quality, size, and purity.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate-

• Demonstrated minimum 2 years’ experience as a Primary Products Inspectors
• Minimum diploma level qualification in horticulture
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong commitment to delivering excellence
• A natural team player that seeks for continuous improvement
• A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and strong communication skills
