The Principal Advisor, Organisational Change reports to the Manager, Change Management and is responsible for providing the overarching governance for individual change, actively engaging with key stakeholders to ensure buy-in and input into the future direction of QCS. This role will also provide implementation and integration advice on the QCS reform agenda to ensure achievement of the agenda’s strategic objectives.
As Principal Advisor, Organisational Change, you will:
- Plan and execute change management activities, guided by the QCS Change Management Framework, to support implementation of complex projects and reform initiatives within the QCS portfolio.
- Work collaboratively with the Portfolio Change team, project managers, business units, and change champions to socialise, integrate and embed changes associated with key strategic priorities and objectives of the QCS reform agenda into the organisational culture.
- Manage the overarching governance for the integration of specific changes, with respect to transformation and reform activity across the organisation.
- Manage and support a stakeholder engagement plan to establish which stakeholder activities are guided at the Transformation Office level, considering the unique characteristics and best engagement methods to enable strategic alignment to the QCS reform agenda.
- Support ownership of solutions by the key stakeholder groups, ensuring planned activities are translated into actions and decisions.
- Manage and deliver the people and workforce transition planning, including IT considerations, where relevant.
- Manage transition activities into business operations through effective collaboration with stakeholders across QCS.
- Work collaboratively and develop strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to guide, manage and integrate changes associated with key strategic priorities and objectives of the QCS reform agenda into the organisational culture, and ensure appropriate coordination of change management activities and successful adoption of these changes.
- Provide advice to leaders, including the Assistant Commissioner, Transformation Office, and Deputy Commissioner, Organisational Capability, and other Executives on the change progress, observations and risks associated with the transition and integration of reform initiatives into business-as-usual activities, particularly as they relate to the delivery of Internal Communications for QCS.
- Take an active role in communicating and translating the QCS Reform agenda for key stakeholders, in collaboration with colleagues across the Transformation Office.
- Contribute to a culture which fosters collaborations, evidence-based decision making, innovation, and performance orientation, where employees are passionate about their work and take personal accountability for their actions.
