The Network Operations group operates 24/7, overseeing a variety of tasks such as monitoring network alarms, managing planned and emergency HV and LV network access, and promptly responding to emergency services and Network outages. The Principal Advisor Systems Data & Strategy primary responsibility is to collaborate on strategic planning, solve system issues with expertise, and oversees data management to enhance network operations and decision-making.
About your new role:
- Strategic Planning and Collaboration: Partner with Grid Technology planning teams to anticipate emerging energy grid challenges and opportunities. They will contribute to the Operations 5 Year Technology Roadmap and the Operations Digital Enablement Program (ODEP), considering risks, interdependencies, and opportunities across all functional domain.
- System Expertise and Problem Solving: Participate in diagnosing system issues or investigating system events, providing corrective actions to address data or functional configuration issues. They will also provide expert advice regarding DMS application opportunities and requirements associated with network automation and integration.
- Data Management and Governance: Oversee the development, prioritisation, phasing, and quality testing of all Network Operations Systems data modelling activities. They will utilise data visualisation tools to build, test, and implement data tools and insights to support business decision making.

As a Principal Advisor Systems Data & Strategy, you’ll excel in building relationships over multiple divisions to bridge gaps across the business. You’ll also have a mind for future and emerging technologies based on power systems.
Your experience will include:
- Strong leadership skills enabling the ability to manage stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder influence and management skills at strategic and tactical levels to support sustainable evolution of DMS systems.
- Demonstrated project delivery and change management capability and experience.
- An extensive knowledge, skills and understanding of the operation and network control imperatives within the electricity distribution industry.
- Demonstrated ability to fault find and problem solve in high pressure situations.
Degree qualification in Business, IT, Engineering, Data Science, Project Management (or related discipline) and/or equivalent relevant working experience.

The remuneration for your new role is from $164,752 – $181,415 plus 12.75% super for a 9-day fortnight and from $186,170 - $204,999 plus 12.75% super for a 10-day fortnight.
