The role
As the Principal Domain Architect, Markets, Corporate Finance & AS, you will play a critical role in leading and coordinating the strategic architectural deliverables across the Episodic and business domains. You will deliver and own multi-year domain roadmaps and target state architecture; and partner with Technology stakeholders (CIO & Execs) and Business Execs (EGMs & GMs) to shape strategic directions, portfolio planning and delivery sequencing.
The day to day responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain a high-level holistic domain architecture strategy and multi-year roadmap / target state.
- Develop and maintain domain specific capability frameworks / feature functions / business taxonomy reference architecture.
- Develop business outcome architecture and lead and maintain backlog of business outcomes portfolio view of the business domains.
- Proactively look for opportunities to decommission legacy technologies or to otherwise simplify our technology landscape and operating model.
- Collaborate with cross domain business / technology / architecture stakeholders to navigate trade-offs between achieving business value versus adhering to architectural guard-rails and our risk and regulatory obligations.
- Understand and communicate strategic themes and other key business drivers for architecture to various stakeholders.
- Lead, coach and mentor team of architects aligned to the domains.
What you will bring:
- Exceptional in-depth experience working in a similar senior Domain Architect role supporting Corporate & Institutional Banking specifically in Global Markets and Corporate Finance domain, coupled with extensive experience in the Technology industry.
- Demonstrated Architecture Experience across solution, enterprise, business, and program architecture in large organisations with regulatory and legacy constraints.
- Proven ability to communicate and influence business functions across sales, origination, trading, servicing, risk and regulatory reporting with Global Markets and Corporate Finance domain.
- Exceptional business acumen and engagement skills to influence business strategy to help shape, triage, prioritise business outcomes and develop multi-year roadmaps for the business unit and domains.
- Experience in working in a scaled agile structure to help coordinate work to a team of solution architects.
- Ability to collaborate, influence and navigate complex topics.
- Demonstrated ability to understand operational and business risks.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Science or related discipline.
