Job description:

We are now seeking an Asset Estimating & Fleet Strategy Principal to join our Brisbane team. In this role you will develop and lead accurate plant, maintenance, tender, mobilisation and demobilisation cost estimates for tenders. You will also develop and lead project cost analysis initiatives, essential for asset allocation, selection and acquisition, along with supporting workshop infrastructure and work design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop plant rates and maintenance cost estimates for tenders.
• Carry out periodic and as required adjustment of plant rates on existing projects for break-even results.
• Analyse project costs for monthly result reviews and tender benchmarking.
• Complete asset life reviews considering operating costs, major component cycles, ownership costs, and overhaul requirements.
• Provide input into asset selection for new work based on idle or new fleet availability, considering productivity, reliability, and cost.
• Specify workshop infrastructure design including tooling and support equipment for effective maintenance of mobile fleet on existing and new projects.
• Support Operations and Asset team in asset management administration process (asset setup, movements, capitalization, strategies, budgets).

Profile description:

About You:

• Tertiary qualification in Asset Management, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years experience in Estimating & Fleet Management, preferably in the coal industry.
• Proven technical, analytical and complex problem solving abilities
• Operational experience with mobile equipment
• Strong computer skills, SAP experience highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team player with a positive can do attitude
