Seeking Sharp Minds: External Auditors Wanted to Elevate Financial Integrity!

The Office of the Auditor General is looking to expand our financial auditing capacity with fresh minds to work in our teams analysing financial information, reviewing key processes and controls, identifying issues and improving public sector accountability and transparency.

Our Auditors work across a unique and diverse client base of agencies large and small with varying complexity across Western Australia, planning, conducting and reporting on audit results. We focus on state government, local government and the tertiary sector providing our staff with great exposure to the diverse range of services provided to the WA community.

In this role you will work in a team to plan and conduct financial statement and key performance indicator audits in accordance with an approved plan, relevant legislation and auditing standards. You may also be required to team lead an audit. The work you undertake will also be considered for inclusion in the reports of the Auditor General to Parliament.

These roles may require travel outside of the Perth CBD and to regional locations for extended stays, what a great opportunity to see our beautiful state! 

We currently have several permanent Level 5 Principal Auditor positions available for immediate filling.

From this process we will be establishing a pool of candidates which may be used to fill other “similar” vacancies (permanent and fixed term) within six months of the date of completion of the recruitment process.

The OAG conducts employment screening for successful applicants, including a national police clearance. An Australian Government security clearance may be undertaken, if required for the role.
