Metro South Health Media and Communications are looking for a Principal Communications Officer to join their team. The Media and Communications team offers high quality communication advice, planning and support across Metro South Health. Media and Communications team members bring a wealth of experience from a diverse range of backgrounds to support all aspects of communication activities, including proactive and reactive media, communications, issues and risk management, brand and reputation management, design, web, events, videos, copywriting, editing, and more.

About the Role
- Provide senior level communications advice to the Director Strategic Communications to maximise the benefits of events, services, promotions and initiatives.
- Write, edit and produce a variety of internal and external communication materials that are of high quality, accurate, consistent, and appropriately tailored for the relevant audience/situation.
- Identify risks, escalate to the Director Strategic Communications and assist in the development of appropriate risk management strategies.
- Manage the development of communication campaigns, both public and internal, to support the health service's key strategies and programs.
- Research, analyse and interpret current and emerging issues relating to communication including government and industry standards
