AddressEden Ritchie is seeking a Principal Communications Officer to provide communication project oversight and management to ensure effective delivery of integrated communication and engagement campaigns and activities.
- 6 month contract with possible extension

As the Principal Communications Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Interpret complex information and understand the internal and external environments, including auditing of existing assets, to develop high-quality and engaging communication and stakeholder materials for a variety of audiences.
- Cultivate an innovative and creative approach to external and internal communications and engagement.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with senior leaders across the agency, confidently providing strategic advice and leveraging relationships to maximise the impact of communication plans.
- Work collaboratively as part of a busy multi-disciplinary team, delivering results effectively with fellow communication, events, multimedia, stakeholder engagement, digital and social media specialists.
- Deliver high-quality communication material and collateral in support of the body’s strategic objectives.
- Provide advice on the effective use of traditional, digital and online communication methods as well as targeted engagement opportunities
- Prepare submissions, reports, briefing material and general correspondence for senior management.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of communications and make recommendations and improvements to enhance the effectiveness of campaigns and activities.
- Provide communications project oversight and management to ensure effective delivery of integrated communication and engagement campaigns and activities.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- 5+ years in a communications role with experience in leading end to end communication and engagement projects within an organisation that has a geographically dispersed workforce.
- Qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or equivalent is desired.
- Significant experience in the development and delivery of a range of communication and engagement strategies, events and training initiatives.
- Sound organisational skills and ability to meet flexible and demanding short-term deadlines while maintaining discipline over delivery of ongoing work.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- A positive, analytical and proactive approach to resolving problems and identifying improvement opportunities.
