Principal Design Solutions

The Principal Design Solutions will lead a team of civil designers, engineers, and surveyors to deliver fit for purpose Design Solutions on a range of Council infrastructure projects.  This role will promote safety in design, sustainability and application of engineering standards, while balancing appropriate levels of risk and value for the community. 

You will conduct operational activities pertaining to:

• Design and survey services are provided to ensure the effective delivery of transportation, drainage, water, sewerage and other civil infrastructure projects for the community
• Projects are designed to produce constructable, sustainable, cost effective and fit for purpose outcomes that add value to the community
• The Design Solutions Team receive suitable leadership, support and mentorship

About You

You will have tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or similar discipline; combined with extensive experience and competence in the design of community infrastructure.

It is essential that you have demonstrated ability to lead a team of engineering, survey and design professionals and the ability to produce fit for purpose design outcomes for civil infrastructure projects.  You must also have a Current “C” class drivers licence for this role. – See a full list of the essential and desirable skills and experience, in the Position Description
