We are a Brisbane based Industrial Automation and Electrical Contracting Company providing turnkey solutions for various Sectors. We have an established customer base and are continually expanding. Our business focuses on industrial maintenance and projects, industrial control systems and switchboard building, servicing and compliance.
We are looking for an experienced Electrical L.V & Controls Design Engineer to join our team.
You will be working with the wider Electrical and Automation team. Responsibility for delivery of detailed safety designed drawings and documentation on a variety of projects.

Skills Required
- Strong AutoCAD experience.
- Proven experience with designing Industrial Automation PLC drawings sets.
- Electrical Engineering Degree with RPEQ status or the ability obtain it.
- The ability to develop L.V power calculations to determine loads calculations, discrimination, and cascading. (Powercad experience or similar will be an advantage).
- Understanding of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, AS/NZ 61439 Wiring Rules and Electrical Regulations.
- Good understanding of L.V electrical switching components and equipment.
- Understand electrical wiring and panel building based on ELV and LV designs.
- Modular Switchboard / Control Panel design experience will be an advantage.
- Excellent computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ensure the safety of designs through application of specialist expertise, standards, and reviews
- Work within a team to deliver results within allocated time, budget, and quality constraints.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements, technical drawings, spreadsheets, DATA sheets, schematics and specifications in accordance with full scope of works.
- Responsible for the on-time delivery of the allocated work schedules.
- Allen Bradley PLC experience will be an advantage.
- Driver's License (preferred).
Salary
A generous salary will be offered to the successful candidates if proven to meet the criteria required, with a high attention to detail, the ability to work individually or as a team, be self-motivated and eager to learn. A company vehicle or car allowance will be included.
Working hours
Full-time position. Monday to Friday.
Occasional overtime as required
